Meet Your College Essay Guide

I’m a college essay coach who turns messy drafts into clear, memorable stories. From brainstorming to final polish, I help you use every one of your 650 words to sound like yourself, only sharper and more in control.

It wasn’t all that long ago that I found myself applying to the colleges of my dreams, riddled with stress and fearful over my ability to adequately represent myself. When I graduated from Loyola High School in Los Angeles in 2013, I had the privilige of choosing from a selection of highly-competitive universities, ultimately deciding to attend the University of Southern California, from which I graduated a year ahead of schedule in 2016.

While much of my public-facing career has involved speaking on television, I’ve also worked professionally as a writer for the better part of the last decade. Focused on the sporting world, my written work has been published by Inside Lacrosse magazine, LaxMetrics.com, and NLL.com. I’ve also maintained a personal hobby of creative writing for most of my adult life, falling more in love with words each time I pick up a book or open a fresh document on my computer.

I come from a family of educators and a househould in which education was paramount above all else. My mother continues to enjoy a three-decade career as an elementary school teacher and tutor. My older brother also has spent more than a decade as a well-respected AP History teacher at the high school level.

My passions for writing and helping young people converged three years ago when I completed my first fall working as part of the CIF-Southern Section’s telvision game of the week. Renewed proximity to high school students and educators awakened in me a desire to be of service and to extend my knowledge and life experience to like-minded young people in the process of writing their own stories. Through this work guiding students through the college essay creation and cultivation process, I enjoy a sense of fulfillment that was previously entirely unknown to me.

At my core, I adore words. I love langauge. I believe writing to be the highest form of expression. And most importantly, I want to use my skills and expereinces to help those younger than me who are still in the process of finding their own voices.
